Privacy Policy

HeyQuizzly (heyquizzly.com) is a website of short personality quizzes. We've kept this policy short and in plain language. The summary: we don't have accounts, we don't ask for your personal details, and we don't store the name you put on your card.

No accounts

You can use every part of the site without signing up or logging in. We don't have user accounts.

Your quiz answers

Your answers are scored in your own browser. Your result (for example the match percentage and trait scores) is added to the address of the result page so the page can show it, and so you can share it if you choose. We don't keep a record of your answers.

Names on cards

If you type your name onto your result card, it's used only to draw your card. To make the card image you can download or share, the name is sent to our server once, the image is drawn, and the name is thrown away straight after. We never store it, never log it, and never put it in any link, including the link you share. If you leave the box empty, no name is used at all.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically records basic technical information when pages are requested, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. This is used to run the site and keep it secure, and is kept only for a limited time. We don't use it to identify you.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly service, to understand how the site is used. It collects anonymous, aggregated data, such as which pages are visited, the country visitors come from, their device type and the site that referred them. It works without cookies and without identifying individual visitors. We don't use any other analytics or tracking tools, and HeyQuizzly doesn't set its own cookies. If that changes, we'll update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Affiliate links

Right now, the site shows no product links or affiliate links. We may add them in the future. If we do, they will be clearly marked. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you, and the store or affiliate network may use cookies to record that you came from us. Their own privacy policies apply to anything that happens on their sites.

Advertising (in the future)

We may show ads in the future, for example through Google AdSense. Ad providers can use cookies and similar technology to show ads and measure how they perform, and some may show ads based on your interests. Before we add ads, we'll update this policy with the details and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent. You can always manage personalized ads in your Google ad settings.

Emailing us

The site itself collects nothing through forms. If you email us, we use your message and email address only to reply to you. We don't send newsletters. If we add one later, joining will be optional, we'll explain it here, and you'll be able to unsubscribe at any time.

Children

HeyQuizzly is meant for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Because we don't keep accounts or store personal details on this site, there's usually little we hold about you (an email you sent us, for example). Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask what information we have, and to have it corrected or deleted. To ask a question or make a request, email us at contact@heyquizzly.com.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Big changes, such as adding ads or other tracking, will always be described here first.
